I am a Software Engineer at JP Morgan Chase and a Computing Scientist Graduate with a First Class BSc(Honours) degree from the University of Glasgow.
I have a passion for tech, this passion drives me towards improvement, not only in the work I do, but in all aspects of my life. I am a quick learner and problem solver, which is key for my role.
I have been a part of many projects during my studies at University, as well as participated in multiple Hackathons. I have won 3 Hackathons to date and hope that this number will grow. In my free time I also partake in small personal projects, which I am hoping to do more of during my career in Technology.
I have been performing in musical theatre since the age of 6 and have been on stage as a principal performer in some of Edinburgh's largest theatres. Taking part in theatre has developed my confidence in working with others and has enhanced my ability to perform well under pressure.

Worked in the EU ATS ROC Performance Improvement Team, leading projects to optimize the EU transportation network.
1. Using SQL, ETL Manager, and QuickSight, I created dashboards to visualize transportation metrics, conducted in-depth data analysis to identify inefficiencies and disruptions, and implemented reactive solutions to streamline processes and improve workflows.
2. I developed Python scripts to audit transportation data, flagging EU-wide disruptions in real-time and ensuring timely resolution of issues impacting the network.
3. Implemented proactive JavaScript tools that enhanced compliance on Amazon's transportation platform, introducing features to prevent potential disruptions before they could occur.
Some of my projects had entitlements of over £10MM, demonstrating the scale and operational impact of my work. These solutions resolved long-standing challenges, driving significant improvements in both efficiency and satisfaction across the network.
Mentoring and Guidance:
Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to Quant Analysts within the GUTIC Fund. This involves teaching them quantitative analysis techniques, financial modelling, and how to use Python for financial analysis.
Strategy Development:
Lead the development of quantitative trading strategies by leveraging statistical models.
Data Analysis and Visualization:
Leverage Python's capabilities to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Main Programming language in courses: Python
Courses:
COMPSCI1016
1CT Introduction to Computational Thinking
COMPSCI1017
1PX (Alternate Route)
Provided hands-on lab support, guiding students through exercises and troubleshooting issues.
Simplify complex programming concepts for students, enhancing their problem-solving and debugging skills.
Foster a supportive learning environment, encouraging perseverance and innovation in computational thinking.
Teams: Service Management, Business Relationship Management, Performance Reporting and Improvement
I created reports on tech innovation and technologies used within the company, weekly incidents using Power BI and Service Now. My main project was creating reports on company software services and ServiceNow dashboards as part of the Service Management Team. In deep diving into the company's data, I managed to find key information about the reporting calculations and how the data needed to be filtered before population into diagrams.
I played a key role in business relationship management by presenting results to both technical and business stakeholders. I facilitated collaboration between teams, ensuring technical details were communicated clearly and aligned with business objectives. By translating complex data into actionable insights, I helped bridge the gap between tech and business, driving informed decisions and fostering strong relationships.
Courses:
IT Governance Foundation, Pluralsight
Fundamentals Course, Pluralsight
Microsoft Power BI Course, Pluralsight
Used Agile team organisation to deliver a product to CENSIS, a non-profit organisation specialising in sensing and imaging. The project consists of using machine learning algorithms to categories sounds from a microphone and sensor that will be used in social housing to protect those living there from antisocial behaviour and fires.
I had the role of Scrum master within my team. I lead, trained, and coached the team in our working in 3-week sprints through our scrums. I also had the role of programmer writing in C and Arduino code for our ESP32 device using libraries to configure the microphone and calculate FFTs from data taken from a microphone.
We explored 7 machine learning approaches in python for time series classification, developing a model with 97% accuracy.
At RSM I worked on preparing tax returns and computations for individuals and trusts. I also worked with companies in the preparation of their tax returns/computations as well as payment schedules. I also was responsible for conducting anti money laundering inspections to determine risks involved in doing work for our clients.

Our six-person team's idea was chosen among the top 25, earning us an invitation to present at a live event in London, where we placed 4th. I led the technical side, developing a (semi)-working prototype for demonstration and creating an internal plan to expand the idea within Amazon.
Working in a small team I Implemented machine learning algorithms in python to detect cyber-attacks using Wireshark data.
2023: as part of a 3-person team, I developed a Unity game motivating eco-friendly lifestyle changes.
On GitHub: GitHub - space928/Pocket-Earth: A little game to play with planets.
2022: as part of a 5-person team, I created a Unity game in C# with the goal “creating a fun game that can be played by anyone.”
On GitHub: GitHub - space928/CheeseRoundup: An exciting game with cheese.
